English The school uses the Oxford Reading Tree scheme of decodable books to underpin the systematic synthetic phonics teaching and reading within the EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as appropriate. Currently, the school uses the Letters and Sounds phonics scheme.
The school uses Jane Considine materials around vocabulary to support children in developing their use of vocabulary for writing. A range of genres is covered within each age range/key stage - for more information, look at this Whole School English Genres Document.
