Computing

Computing is taught across all six half terms. Each unit of work within computing focusses on different topic areas, and allows children to practise their skills in reading code, writing code, programming and debugging over time. Children use floorbooks to record their written computing work throughout the year.

The National Centre for Computing Education scheme of work is used as a starting point, alongside the Government recommended, "Education for a Connected World" document, which further develops children's understanding of online safety and digital life.
