Music

Music is taught across the six half-terms. Each unit of work within art focusses on different elements, instruments, songs and singing to ensure our children have a wide range of skills and knowledge taught to them, and they have enough time each week to build upon these, develop and apply them. Floorbooks are used to record children's work in music. Teachers use 'Sing Up' to support them in delivering music lessons across the school.

Overview curriculum - all year groups

See our curriculum for each year group below. Teachers use a variety of resources to enable them to plan lessons effectively, including online resources, instruments, real music and visitors.

 

Knowledge organisers are also used to support children in remembering important knowledge and skills necessary for each topic. These can be found in relevant year groups below.

EYFS have also had visits from Debutots, to enhance further their music provision.
