Geography

Geography is taught across 3 half terms, with history taught on alternate half terms. Children use geography books and floorbooks to record their geography work and responses. Links are made with science, English, or other subjects where appropriate. The school uses the Plan Bee Scheme as a starting point for planning Geography lessons.

To view the knowledge and skills progressions for different areas of geography, see the document below:

Knowledge and Skills Progression Geography

See our curriculum for each year group attached below. Teachers use a variety of resources to enable them to plan lessons effectively, including online resources, books, real artwork and visitors.

Knowledge organisers are also used to support children in remembering important knowledge and skills necessary for each topic. These can be found in relevant year groups below too.
